Damaged Worsted Weight Yarn

Occasionally we come across a nesting place for chipmunks and field mice in our yarn bins. Last summer we found they had set up a kind of conga line from the grain drums to the window sill and from there to a hole in the wall. Some of this grain ended up in their winter burrough in our yarn.       So the damage extends from some cracked corn in the yarn to strands actually being knibbled on and broken in several places.
