| For Handspinners and Dyers The Chinny Challenge One Pound of Pleasure! |
![]() Chinny enjoying her lunch |
This is raw grease wool, right off the sheep's back. Marty asked herself,"How much can I spin/knit/crochet from one pound of wool?" She was curious to know. So she started hand dyeing, spinning and knitting from one pound of Chinny's fleece. ( Chinny is one of our sheep, she has a large chin.) |
| We decided to break down Chinny's fleece into one pound bags. Each bag of raw fleece is $5.00 plus postage. We would very much enjoy hearing or seeing what you, our customers, might create! We will post any photos you send us on our website. |
Chinny's hand dyed fleece. Here Marty used cochneal, tumeric, cool-aid (!) and a tiny amount of aniline dyes to color Chinny's wool. See what you have available to dye up Chinny's fleece. |
